RPU, a division of the City of Rochester, Minnesota (pop. 106,000), is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota and is seeking an experienced Buyer to work closely with the Materials Manager in the cost-effective procurement of materials, supplies and services for the Utility.  

As the third largest city in the State of Minnesota and one of the fastest-growing municipalities, the City of Rochester is often named as a best place to live, raise a family, and retire.  In 2010, Kiplinger named Rochester one of the Top Ten Cities for the Next Decade.

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in purchasing, accounting, finance, economics, industrial engineering, logistics/operations, supply chain management or business administration/management or a closely related field; AND a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as a Buyer, with inventory control responsibilities. Salary range $58,433 to $85,931.
